[Celeb Health] Actress Lee Yubi’s Facial Massage ‘Gyunglak’ Posted in 2024-09-05 17:19 by Choi Jihye Posted in 2024-09-05 17:19 by Choi Jihye Actress Lee Yubi revealed that she regularly gets facial massages to maintain her beauty. [Source=Youtube Channel ‘또유비’] Actress Lee Yubi revealed that she regularly gets facial massages to maintain her beauty. Recently, a video titled "6 Years of Consistent Care Compilation.zip" was posted on Lee Yubi’s YouTube channel. In the video, Lee Yubi said, "Many people are curious about the treatments I get. I have an ad shoot tomorrow, so I wanted to show you the care I receive.“ Lee Yubi visited a massage parlor specializing in Gyunglak (a type of massage that focuses on muscle relaxation and circulation). She explained, "I’ve been going here for about six to seven years. They release tension in the scalp to lift the face. My skin is very sensitive, with allergies to sunlight and sunscreen. Since facial gyunglak can be painful for me, I only get treatments that avoid direct contact with my face.“ Lee Yubi mentioned to the massage therapist, "I used to feel upset because my face didn’t look as good in person as it did on camera." The therapist added, "At that time, you had some unevenness and asymmetry in your face. Because of your severe skin allergies, we couldn’t touch your face, so we focused on your shoulders, neck, and scalp." Lee Yubi then expressed her satisfaction, saying, "After getting these treatments, I’ve received so many compliments about looking pretty on camera.“ Gyunglak Massage for Facial Asymmetry and Skin Elasticity The gyunglak massage that Lee Yubi has been getting for years helps release tense muscles in the face and scalp, reducing puffiness and improving skin elasticity. It can also alleviate facial asymmetry caused by muscle imbalance rather than bone structure. However, Lee Yubi mentioned that she avoids facial gyunglak due to potential side effects. Some possible side effects of gyunglak massage include headaches, muscle pain, mild fever, skin itching, and rashes. These side effects are more likely to occur if it’s your first time getting gyunglak or if the treatment is too intense. Additionally, there’s a risk of infection if the equipment used during the massage isn’t properly sterilized. It’s important to avoid gyunglak massages if you have skin wounds, inflammation, or infections, as the risk of side effects is higher in such cases. Those with heart conditions or who are pregnant should also exercise caution when considering this treatment. Other Options for Facial Asymmetry If you’re dealing with facial asymmetry like Lee Yubi and want to avoid surgery, you can consider other non-invasive options like Botox or fillers. Botox temporarily paralyzes overdeveloped muscles, helping to reduce their size. Fillers add volume, helping to smooth out facial contours. However, if the asymmetry is due to bone structure, more invasive options like facial contouring surgery or orthognathic (double jaw) surgery may be necessary. Facial contouring surgery involves trimming the bones of the face, such as the cheekbones, jaw to improve symmetry. Orthognathic surgery involves cutting and repositioning the upper and lower jaws. To determine the best approach for addressing facial asymmetry, it's important to undergo a thorough examination to identify the underlying cause. Bone surgeries, in particular, are complex and should be performed by a skilled specialist to minimize the risk of complications. RELATED NEWS
