Joe Mello is a private investor and management consultant in the healthcare industry. He is currently a member of the board of Everside Health, Project Connect and MARS Petcare. He also serves on the advisory board to the President of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and various other non-profit organizations. Previously, Joe held the roles of president at DaVita Medical Group and chief operating officer of DaVita Inc. Prior to his time at DaVita, he served as an executive leader and board member for a variety of privately held and public healthcare companies, in addition to his role as a partner in the healthcare consulting group at KPMG. Joe received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and an MBA in finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

William Brody

William Brody was president of Johns Hopkins University for 13 years before heading the Salk Institute for Biological Studies as its president and professor emeritus. He trained as a physician-scientist, with degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and an M.D. and Ph.D. (EE) from Stanford University. He was professor of radiology at Stanford, radiologist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins, and oversaw the health sciences at the University of Minnesota before becoming president of Johns Hopkins. He has served on numerous corporate and non-profit organizations and presently is a director of Stanford Healthcare, and trustee of the W.M. Keck Foundation. He co-founded four medical device companies and served as CEO of Resonex, Inc. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Engineering, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. An amateur pianist himself Bill joined the Curtis board of trustees in March 2017.
