William Brody | William Brody was president of Johns Hopkins University for 13 years before heading the Salk Institute for Biological Studies as its president and professor emeritus. He trained as a physician-scientist, with degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and an M.D. and Ph.D. (EE) from Stanford University. He was professor of radiology at Stanford, radiologist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins, and oversaw the health sciences at the University of Minnesota before becoming president of Johns Hopkins. He has served on numerous corporate and non-profit organizations and presently is a director of Stanford Healthcare, and trustee of the W.M. Keck Foundation. He co-founded four medical device companies and served as CEO of Resonex, Inc.
