Jonathan McNeill

Jon McNeill is former president of Tesla and COO of Lyft. Prior, he founded, scaled and sold six companies, He has operated at scaled companies leading hypergrowth in revenues and operations, creating tens of thousands of jobs and delivering multi-billion dollar returns for investors. Jon is CEO of DVx Ventures, an early and growth-stage venture platform with offices in Silicon Valley, New York and Boston. Jon was President at Tesla from 2015-2018, while Tesla grew revenues from $2B to $20B, and then became the COO at Lyft in 2018. He is the 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2013 he was named "Most Admired CEO" in Boston. He began his career at Bain & Company. He serves on the boards of Lululemon, Asurion, Crossfit, Stash, Cambridge Mobile Telematics, Tekion, and Tier. McNeill is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Mike joined Index in 2009 to help establish the firm’s San Francisco office with Danny Rimer. He currently serves on the boards of Aurora, Big Switch Networks, Cockroach Labs, Confluent, Elastic [NYSE:ESTC], Kong, Sonos [NASDAQ:SONO], Zuora [NYSE:ZUO] and Wealthfront. Mike was previously a director of Blue Bottle Coffee [VTX:NESN], Hortonworks [NYSE:CLDR] and Pure Storage [NYSE:PSTG]. He also serves on the board of Fiat Chrysler Automotive [NYSE:FCAU]. Prior to Index, Mike held a number of executive positions including Chief Strategy Officer and SVP/GM of the routing business at Cisco. During his 13-year tenure at Cisco, his team was responsible for the acquisition of over 70 companies, including several multi-billion deals. Cisco’s acquisition strategy has been widely regarded as an industry model for technology mergers and acquisitions. While at Cisco, Mike also managed a P&L in excess of $10B in revenues. Mike has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a trustee of the Castilleja School in Palo Alto and also serves on the Global Advisory Board of the Knight Hennessy Scholars program at Stanford University.
